Focus sessions enforced by iOS, with usage data kept on the device
An iOS focus app awaiting release on the App Store. It uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block selected apps, keeps usage reporting on the device, and supports recurring schedules without accounts or analytics.
Challenge
Many focus tools are easy to dismiss or require users to hand over sensitive usage data. We wanted the block to be enforced by iOS, while keeping the reporting useful and entirely on the device.
Solution
Octarine uses the Screen Time framework to enforce sessions and a DeviceActivityReport extension to present usage data without sending it to the app or a server. Saved presets and schedules make the same setup easy to repeat.
The outcome
The app is complete and awaiting release on the App Store. Its launch site is already public at getoctarine.app, with separate English, Polish, and Spanish versions.
